What you send us
When you plan a trip, contact us, sign up for trip ideas, share a story, apply as a partner or claim a listing, we keep what you put in the form so we can answer you. If you plan a trip, we may pass your request to a registered local guide or outfitter so they can help you. If you talk to Scout, our on-site assistant, your messages go to our AI provider to produce the reply, and a request to talk to a person comes to us. Please do not put anything private in a chat.
We send trip ideas only after you confirm your address, and every message has an unsubscribe link.
Website analytics
We measure how the site is used so we can make it better. We use Matomo on our own server, without cookies, and with part of your IP address removed. We honor Do Not Track there. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and sends usage data to Google. Advertising features are off. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie settings. We count clicks on things like phone numbers and links to a guide's website. We do not record what you type.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising from other companies.
Children
This site is for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
